Designing Digital Experiences People Understand
Clarity is a design decision, not a happy accident.

Most digital products don’t fail because they lack features. They fail because people can’t understand them quickly enough to care.
Hierarchy is a promise
Every screen makes a promise about what matters most. When everything is loud, nothing is heard. Good hierarchy tells people where to look first, what to do next, and what can wait.
Reduce the number of decisions
Each choice you ask someone to make costs attention. We look for the moments where a sensible default, a clearer label, or a better order can remove a decision altogether.
An interface people understand is an interface people trust.
Interaction should explain, not decorate
Motion and feedback are at their best when they explain what just happened. A transition that shows where something came from is worth more than one that only looks good.
Clarity takes more work than complexity. That is exactly why it stands out.
