Creating Brands That Don’t Follow the Crowd
Distinctive is not the same as loud.

Every industry has a default look. Fintech is blue. Wellness is beige. Tech is a gradient. Following the default feels safe — and makes you invisible.
Find the tension
The most memorable brands sit in an interesting tension: serious but warm, technical but human, premium but playful. That tension is where character lives.
Commit to the idea
A point of view only works when it is applied consistently. Half-committed ideas end up looking like everyone else.
Brands don’t need to shout to be heard. They need to mean something.
Stand for something specific, and the right people will notice.
